House Bill 6 (HB6) referendum petition circulator struck by opponent in Dublin
As reported by the Columbus Dispatch.
The pro-HB6 "blocker" -- trying to defend FirstEnergy's $1.1 billion old nuclear and coal plant bailout, at the expense of Ohio ratepayers -- is captured on a security video, striking the anti-bailout petition gatherer. Her assault on him seriously damaged his cell phone, as it forcefully struck the concrete on the ground. As he tried to pick up the pieces of his broken phone, as well as a post card she had dropped on the ground as a result of her assault, she physically body blocked him. This gives a whole new -- nearly literal -- meaning to the phrase "gloves off" and "no holds barred," as FirstEnergy pulls out the stops to defend its outrageous bailout.
