Ohio old nuke bailouts: HB 6 accountability calls/emails/tweets needed
Action alert from Neil Waggoner, Ohio Campaign Representative, Sierra Club, Beyond Coal:
As many of you are now aware, HB 6 was approved by the House 53-43. HB 6 now moves to the Senate where it's expected to begin hearings as early as next week in the Senate Energy and Public Utilities Committee. Becca will be distributing contact information for those committee members and info on hearings soon.
In terms of the vote today, we lost 10 Dems but picked up 17 GOP. We are working on getting an accountability email out in response to the vote but posted below is some contact information for these notable 27 votes. We need calls/emails/tweets into them ASAP thanking the NO votes and "spanking" the YES votes.
In terms of the 10 Dems, they need to hear from us on why we're disappointed in their vote.

In terms of the 17 GOP, they need a "thanks" for their no vote. It should be noted, however, the GOP no votes are not because they are climate or clean energy champions - in many cases they are opponents of the renewable and efficiency standards - but they were with us today because of various other reasons. All the same, we should acknowledge them voting the right way and encourage them to vote NO again in the future if the bill is sent back from the Senate.
Please let me know if you have issues with formatting of the tables below or have any questions.
