'They should be thought of as heroes': Why killings of environmental activists are rising globally
Anti-nuclear activists have also been harassed, and even murdered. This extends from the oppression (including killings) of anti-nuclear protestors in India, to the harassment of Vladimir Slivyak in Russia, the shooting of Tundu Lissu in Tanzania, and the likely murders of Karen Silkwood in the U.S., and Volodymyr Goncharenko in Ukraine, as but a few examples.
