Beyond Nuclear, Don't Waste MI, & MI Safe Energy Future defend intervention at Palisades & Big Rock Point against Holtec takeover

Entergy's Palisades atomic reactor, located on the Lake Michigan shoreline in Covert Township, Van Buren County, MichiganREPLY OF BEYOND NUCLEAR, MICHIGAN SAFE ENERGY FUTURE AND DON’T WASTE MICHIGAN IN SUPPORT OF PETITION FOR LEAVE TO INTERVENE, AND REQUEST FOR AN ADJUDICATORY HEARING;

RESPONSE OF EXPERT WITNESS ROBERT ALVAREZ.

Toledo, OH based attorney Terry Lodge serves as legal counsel for the environmental coalition.

Robert Alvarez, senior scholar at Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C., serves as the coalition's expert witness.

The coalition filed its intervention petition and hearing request on Feb. 24, 2021.

They were joined on Feb. 24 with intervention filings by the AG of MI, Dana Nessel, as well as the Environmental Law & Policy Center of Chicago.

On March 29, the MI AG's office, as well as ELPC, also answered Holtec/Entergy's rebuttals.
